The Urgell flatland (Pla d’Urgell) is a pass land, uncultivated saltiness border land.

The old Arabian Mascançà did not suppose a lot of tithing because of too much poverty.

The water changed it all: the colours, the environment, the life after the coming of canal d’Urgell.

This mural, which was quick because of the fast paint drying, represents the flatland like it was a chessboard: the Urgell badge.

The fight between the water pieces and the dry land king.

A territory of ochre and browns, ptilostemon and lizards, where the water pieces move forward, so the greens improve until they defeat the dry land king, like it happens in a chess game.

On the left, the poverty of the old house begins to change: at the porch, the old and young women start collecting all the harvest fruits between the vine and gladiolus. On the waterfall there is new people. The black polar around the canal bank already expand. And there are a lot of several greens and vitality on the riverbanks…
